G.O.Ms.No.231, dt:16-9-2005 - Paternity Leave

    Based on the document issued by the Finance (FR.I) Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh (G.O.Ms.No.231, dated 16-9-2005), here are the main points:

* Paternity Leave Sanction: Married male government employees are officially eligible for 15 days of paternity leave on full pay.

* Employee Eligibility: The benefit applies uniformly to both temporary and permanent state employees.

* Family Constraint: This leave is strictly restricted to employees who have less than two surviving children.

* Origin: The order implements the accepted policy recommendations of the Pay Revision Commission, 2005.

* Timeline: The directive came into force with immediate effect from the date of issue (September 16, 2005).
