( Raising Upper Age Limit 34 yrs to 44 yrs for the ensuing Recruitments )
The Government of Telangana has issued an order (G.O.Ms. No.86) to raise the upper age limit for direct recruitment. Here are the details:
- New Age Limit: The maximum age limit is increased from 34 years to 44 years.
- Duration: This enhancement is valid for a period of one (1) year from May 18, 2026.
- Scope: This rule applies to various categories of posts to be notified by recruiting agencies in the state, except for the Uniformed Services.
- Uniformed Services Exclusion: The age limit increase does not apply to departments such as Police, Excise, Fire, Prisons, and Forest Departments, where specific physical standards are required.
- Additional Concessions: Age concessions already provided under Rule 12 of the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules will still be allowed over and above this new upper limit.
